Laboratory for Data Analysis and Simulation

Focus of activity

The Laboratory focuses on science and research activity in data analysis and simulations of complex systems. In the case of data analysis, this mostly includes the application of modern approaches in data science for analyses of a wide spectrum of data, including medical, commercial or production data, with focus on projects of applied and contract research. In the case of simulations of complex systems, this includes the application of parallel algorithms and HPC approaches to modelling large sets of data and their analysis, with focus on projects in basic and applied research.

The Laboratory has

• a laboratory equipped with three computers, a GPU server, a control server and two disc fields (one designed for the sensitive data of contractual partners),
• a computing cluster equipped with four computing nodes with GU acceleration, a control server and a disc field.
