Bachelor’s Degree Studies
Applied Informatics
The bachelor’s occupational study programme in Applied Informatics focuses on the preparation of experts in the field of information technologies. It covers all basic areas of informatics and IT that find use in contemporary corporate and public spheres.
During studies, graduates participate in resolving practical problems and projects within term-long specialised practical experience, or a two-term project seminar.
Graduates can find jobs in various ICT companies, corporate IT departments and data centres, public administration organisations and others, including international corporations and foreign institutions; they can also start their own business in information systems and communications (consultants, providers of existing solutions).
Informatics for Education
The first level of studies preparing future informatics teachers for the second level of elementary schools and secondary schools. The study is designed as a double-major, i.e., it is only available in combination with another field of study.
Typical job positions after graduation:
- teacher assistant,
- club manager in leisure facilities.
Graduates are expected to continue studying in the follow-up master’s degree in informatics for education.
